Hi folks!!
As I have commented in another post, I have discovered last Friday a spectacular Malian group called SMOD. It was born in 2000 and was composed by 4 guys from Bamako (Mali). The components are called Sam, Mouzy, Ousco and Donsky. The second one left the group, but the original group name's remains. They are one of the main Malian group.
They play a mixture of traditional, reggae, rap and hip hop music. I love the combative message of their songs, because they fights for the African People rights. They have following 2 albums few:
During 2009, SMOD is going to do a lot of concerts around Mali, France, Belgium, UK, Catalonia, etc. They will have another album this year, producted by Manu Chao.
So, I hope they come back soon to Catalonia and I wait SMOD's new album to speak about that.
